Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 2 firm-ripe avocados Avocados Firm-ripe works best so the wedges hold together during coating and air-frying.
  • 1/3 cup whole-wheat flour The first coat helps the crunchy layer stick properly.
  • 2 large eggs Eggs Essential for binding the breadcrumbs so you get that golden crunch.
  • 3/4 cup whole-wheat panko breadcrumbs The secret to a crisp, airy texture around each fry.
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika Adds a touch of warmth and smoky depth.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder For savory punch in every crispy bite.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Brings out all the other flavors.
  • Cooking spray Ensures your fries come out golden without soaking in oil.
  • 3/4 cup plain Greek yogurt The creamy base for your dipping sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice Brings brightness to balance the richness of the avocado.
  • 2 tablespoons chopped cilantro For freshness and a pop of color in the dip.

Equipment

  • Air fryer

Method

Instructions
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F for 3 minutes.
  2. Cut the avocados into thick wedges.
  3. Place the flour in one dish, beat the eggs in a second, and combine the panko, paprika, garlic powder, and salt in a third.
  4. Coat each avocado wedge in flour, egg, and then the panko mixture.
  5. Spray the wedges lightly with cooking spray and arrange them in a single layer.
  6. Air-fry for 7 to 9 minutes, turning once, until golden and crisp.
  7. Combine the yogurt, lime juice, and cilantro and serve with the fries.

Notes

Use avocados that are firm enough to slice cleanly. Serve immediately because the coating softens as it sits.
