  • 1 cup pecans, roasted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Roast the pecans in a baking dish for about 10 minutes until fragrant.
  3. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, and sea salt over medium heat. Stir until the mixture comes to a boil.
  4. Remove from heat and allow it to cool slightly.
  5. Stir in the roasted pecans until coated evenly.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 8×8 inch pan and smooth the top with a spatula dipped in hot water.
  7. Melt chocolate chips and pour over the pecan mixture; spread into an even layer.
  8. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.
