  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp minced garlic (about 2 cloves)
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1/3 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 3/4 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 2 lbs ground turkey (93% lean)
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

Instructions
  1. Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and place rack in middle position.
  2. Heat olive oil in skillet. Cook onion 5–7 minutes until soft. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds more. Cool slightly.
  3. In a bowl, whisk milk, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, salt, pepper, eggs, and parsley. Stir in breadcrumbs. Add turkey and onion mixture. Mix gently until just combined.
  4. Transfer mixture into a 9×5-inch loaf pan or shape on a foil-lined sheet. Smooth top.
  5. Mix ketchup, brown sugar, and balsamic vinegar. Spread evenly over loaf.
  6. Bake 55–60 minutes, or until internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let loaf rest 5–10 minutes before slicing to keep juices in.
